Non-Operative
Non-operative evaluation and treatment means that after performing a thorough medical consultation, Dr. Mayer will provide each patient with state of the art exercise based spinal rehabilitation treatment using protocols specifically designed for each person’s spinal problem. Our therapists use spine specific rehab equipment and techniques.

Dr. Philip J.Mayer, M.D. is an Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon with over 30 years experience. He is Board certified and Fellowship trained. Dr. Mayer is the former Division Head of Orthopedic spinal surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital, and Associate Professor of Clinical Orthopedics, and Physical
Medicine and Rehabilitation at Wayne State University. Dr Mayer has personally developed and run a non-operative rehab program since June, 2005. Dr. Mayer offers a no-nonsense, evidence based approach to evaluate and treat back and neck patients. When necessary, surgical intervention is
recommended.
